Linda Valkeman & Carmen Hogg x Bonne Suits - Zeedijk 60

Recycled Denim Bonne Suit

27 September 2019

A Bonne Suit custom made from discarded jeans!

As part of the project ‘Obroni Wa Wu; Dead White Man’s Clothing’ by Linda Valkeman and Carmen Hogg, Bonne Suits developed suits that are made from jeans that were thrown away in their home town Amsterdam. The project focuses on the massive amount of used or unused clothing that is thrown away. What happens with it? And what are the consequences?

If you order a suit, it will be custom made for you. This means it won’t be ready upon ordering. The estimate is that the suit will be with you within 2 months. The look of the suit depends on the discarded denim that is at hand at the moment of ordering. It is therefore not possible to say in advance, exactly what the suit will look like. The colour tone will be mid blue. Of course, it will be a beautiful and unique garment!

The denim for the suits is provided by Sympany. The Suits are constructed by Amsterdam-based craftsmen working for A Beautiful Mess. All revenues will be split over the involved parties.

IMPORTANT: We have a custom measurement chart. This means you probably have a different size in our suits than with other clothing. It is common to have a smaller size than you are used to; we recommend checking the size chart (see below).
